The Barcelonian is a project created by illustrator Luisa Vera, paying tribute to The New Yorker through covers of a fictional magazine from Barcelona.
Plaça de la Virreina in the Gràcia neighborhood was my first collaboration. In the illustration, I wanted to capture the peaceful, family-oriented life of the square. One of my favorites in the neighborhood.
This illustration has been part of three exhibitions, at the Illa Diagonal and Diagonal Mar shopping centers and at the Urgell Civic Center. It is also included in the project’s first book.
You can purchase it on the project’s website.
